Things have been a little bit different in 2020, and will continue to be a bit different in 2021 too! We will continue to follow government guidelines, so although we will do our best to inform you in advance, sometimes we will have to make last-minute changes to adhere to what the government says! It’s possible it might change, but we wanted to try and give you an overview of what you might expect at our park going into 2021:
• We will continue to have additional cleaning of the toilet blocks, reception, and the clubhouse (if it’s open).
• We expect the onsite shop and food van to be open.
• You will need to prebook to come camping or glamping (no walk-ins will be accepted)
• We will continue to encourage tourers and campers, wherever possible to use their own facilities however, our toilet blocks will be open.
• We are not sure if the clubhouse will open, but if it does our usual programme of events may be cancelled (i.e. bingo, discos, live music, and sky sports.
• Though we hope to restart the weekly car boots on a Saturday morning, the final decision on this will be made at the start of the season next year.
• We will ask everyone to continue to use track and trace, and follow all government guidelines (i.e. social distancing rules, face masks, etc).
When you come camping, glamping, or touring to our campsite, you will come to see why customers flock to us year after year. We are a perfect place to enjoy quality family time and take a step back from the many stresses of everyday life. We offer an affordable stay and a stress-free holiday in a quieter environment, yet we are close enough to fun-filled days out and adventures discovering the many wonders of west Norfolk for those who want to explore (see things to do locally).
The onsite amenities include a clubhouse called Beaver’s retreat, which has a pool table, large screen TV to watch sky sports, and offers regular entertainment throughout the season. With bingo every Friday night, and entertainment every Saturday night ranging from singers and comedians to bands and discos, there really is something for everyone! Either show up and get involved in our entertainment bar or sit back and relax in our adult bar. During the summer holidays, we increase the fun by having extra entertainment like children’s discos, soul nights, and karaoke! You can check out our Facebook page, or see posters in the office, for the latest ‘what’s on’ guide.
Outside Beavers retreat, there is a sheltered, decked area, and picnic benches on the grass which is where you will find Dolly and her amazing street kitchen. Serving up delicious “bring your own plate” breakfasts, as well as rolls, burgers, drinks, etc. (See Diglea’s street kitchen for further information). We hold a regular car boot on the field every Saturday morning, and we hope to have our pop-up market ready to open during the 2021 season.
We have a playground with wooden bridges, slides, climbing areas, and a basket swing. We also have our treehouse playframe located in the rally field camping area. We have an on-site shop selling delicious freshly baked bread, and all the essentials you may need for your stay, as well as a laundrette.
Additionally, we have a dog walking area located at the back of our site, for those campers that want to bring their canine friends. We do ask that dogs are kept on short leads whilst onsite, and stay outside the clubhouse. We have a dog wash area at the back of one of our toilet blocks, with nice warm water for our muddier friends! Our holiday park is situated a short walk away from Snettisham beach which allows dogs year-round for paddles, walks, and fun!
We do hope that when you come to stay, whether camping, glamping, or touring, you notice the warm welcome, the great atmosphere, and take a moment to relax and enjoy precious time with loved ones. We look forward to welcoming you to our hidden gem on the West Norfolk coast.
